How many villages are in The Villages, Florida?
The Villages Community Development Districts list 109 named villages across 16 residential districts plus the Lady Lake and Lake County district. The community spans Sumter, Marion, and Lake counties. New villages are added as the community expands southward.
What is the difference between a village and a district?
A village is a named residential neighborhood. A Community Development District is the governing unit that issues bonds and delivers services. Districts contain multiple villages, and a single village can span more than one district, so always confirm the district by address rather than by village name.

Spanish Springs Town Square
Historic Side
The original community, built around Spanish Springs Town Square. This is where The Villages started as Orange Blossom Gardens, and it is where the oldest housing stock sits. Expect mature landscaping, established streets, and the shortest walk or cart ride to a square anywhere in the community.

The first major Sumter County expansion, north of County Road 466. Settled neighborhoods with full landscaping, and a central position that puts both Spanish Springs and Lake Sumter Landing within reach.
